April 8, 2010

Three Physical Therapy majors at the College of Mount St. Joseph, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lindsay Hammersmith, Anna Sirotin, and Melissa Ketterman, along with peers, are working to help Sonje Ayiti organize the distribution of medical equipment and needs to earthquake victims in northern Haiti. Lindsay, Anna and Melissa are core leaders in their PT program’s student organization.

Sonje Ayiti is also partnering with Cap-Haitien Health Network and other groups in restoration efforts, including the delivery of clean water and support toward staffing medical clinics. Recently, Sonje Ayiti, among other initiatives, purchased and began distributing $5,000 worth of dry foods that Haitians eat routinely.
